Ireland to Introduce Salary Cap for State Workers, Tribune Says

Ireland plans to introduce a salary cap of 250,000 euros ($335,350) for government workers and those at “semi-state” companies such as broadcaster RTE, in a bid to narrow its budget deficit, the Sunday Tribune reported.

The measure will be part of a budget plan to be announced on Dec. 7, the Dublin-based newspaper said, without saying where it got the information.
