Chorion Shortlists Buyout Firms to Fund $1.6 Billion Hit Bid, Times Says

Chorion Plc, a U.K. producer of Agatha Christie television dramas, short-listed three buyout firms to finance a bid for Hit Entertainment Ltd., the Sunday Times reported, without saying where it got the information.

Hit Entertainment, the children’s media company behind Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder, is being auctioned by owner Apax Partners LLP for as much as 1 billion pounds ($1.58 billion), the newspaper said.
