The cold snap slowed retail sales growth on British shopping streets, with the category of non- fashion gifts performing the worst during November, the Press Association reported.
In addition, a 2.8 percent increase in fashion sales was less than in the same period a year earlier, according to the BDO High Street Sales Tracker, the news agency said. Online purchases grew 28 percent, compared with 39 percent in 2009.
