Norway Postpones Review of Statoil CO2 Storage Facility, DN Says

Norway’s government has postponed a health review of the Mongstad facility for capturing and storing carbon dioxide from natural-gas-fueled power stations, which it’s building with Statoil ASA, Dagens Naeringsliv reported.

The government, which has delayed until 2014 a decision on its level of investment in the facility, had planned to complete the report this month, DN reported, citing Oil Minister Terje Riis-Johansen. The review is meant to understand risks linked to the amine technology the plant will use, Oslo-based DN said.
