Ontario Teachers' Fund Wants $1.5 Billion for Maple Leaf Stake, Globe Says

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan wants $1.5 billion for its 66 percent stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., the Globe & Mail reported, citing unidentified people with knowledge of the matter.

While the pension plan isn’t actively seeking buyers, it’s open to offers and has been for some years, the newspaper said.

Maple Leaf owns the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team and the Raptors basketball club.
