The board of New York City’s Off- Track-Betting Corp. voted today to keep the operation, which is bankrupt, open through Dec. 7 to give the state Senate time to approve a restructuring plan, the New York Post reported on its website.
The plan would cut 400 jobs and give the New York Racing Assocation control of OTB’s telephone and Internet betting systems, the Post reported. Union workers would not collect double-time pay on Sundays, the Post reported.
