Kenyan Police Officer Killed in Nairobi Grenade Blast, Capital FM Reports

A Kenyan police officer was killed and three others were injured when a grenade exploded a vehicle in the capital, Nairobi, Capital FM said.

The explosion took place today as people were searching for a device that had been thrown into a police vehicle on a busy street in the Eastleigh suburb, the Nairobi radio station reported, citing unidentified police officials.

Kenyan police spokesman Eric Kiraithe didn’t answer his mobile phone when called for comment.
