JPMorgan’s Jimbo Said to Resign as Japan Investment Banking Head

Yuichi Jimbo, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s head of investment banking for Japan, will leave the firm, a person with direct knowledge of the situation said.

Jimbo didn’t respond to a phone call to his office seeking comment. JPMorgan’s Tokyo-based spokeswoman Mika Nemoto declined to comment. Reuters reported his planned departure earlier today.

Masaru Shibata, who was head of JPMorgan’s Japan merger advisory business, also left the firm earlier this year.
