Hong Kong Pollution May Rise as China Sand, Dust Blow Over

Hong Kong’s Environmental Protection Department said air pollution in the city may increase overnight and tomorrow as sand and dust from a sandstorm in northern China blows over.

Hong Kong’s air pollution index may be slightly higher than 100 tomorrow as particulate levels in the city rise with higher concentrations of sand and dust, the government agency said in a statement today.
