Google Buys N.Y. Building Valued at $1.9 Billion, WSJ Reports

Google Inc. has purchased the building that its New York offices are located in, in an agreement that values the property at about $1.9 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing unidentified people familiar with the situation.

The agreement to buy the 2.9-million-square-foot property is the biggest for a single U.S. building in 2010, the newspaper said.

An unidentified Google spokesman declined to comment, according to the Journal.
