Zloty Weakens After Trichet Says ECB Will Delay Stimulus Exit

The Polish zloty weakened after European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said the ECB will delay its withdrawal of emergency liquidity measures to combat “acute” market tensions.

The zloty depreciated 0.5 percent to 4.0241 per euro as of 2:56 p.m. in Warsaw. It traded little changed before Trichet made his comments.
