Natural-rubber production in Thailand, the world’s largest exporter, may total 3.16 million metric tons this year, similar to last year’s figure, as rains caused less damage than previously estimated, according to an industry group.
Exports may be about 2.7 million tons, close to that of last year, Luckchai Kittipol, president of the association, said in an interview today. In the first 10 months, about 2.2 million tons were shipped and a further 500,000 tons will probably be exported last month and in December, Luckchai said.
