Spain, Italy Urge ECB to Take More Decisive Action, WSJ Reports

Spain and Italy are leading an effort to encourage stronger action by the European Central Bank to help prevent the financial crisis from spreading, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing an Italian government official as saying that consensus is growing that assertive moves by the ECB are needed to calm markets.
