Sinopec Joins Chevron Indonesian Offshore Gas Project, WSJ Says

China Petroleum Corp., known as Sinopec, is to join Chevron Corp.’s $6 billion deepwater natural gas project off Indonesia, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the plan.

Sinopec will take an 18 percent stake in each of three deepwater blocs off East Kalimantan, the newspaper said.
