Greek Companies Report Combined 9-Month Loss, Kathimerini Says

Greece’s 261 listed companies reported a combined loss of 570 million euros ($748 million) in the first nine months of 2010 versus profit of 4.9 billion euros for the same period a year earlier when there were 273 listed companies, said Kathimerini, citing data from Pegasus SA.

In total, 118 listed companies posted a profit in the first nine months of the year while 143 companies posted losses on combined sales of 58.4 billion euros, the Athens-based newspaper reported.
