Dollar, Yen Rise as Paper Says North Korea May Be Planning Attack on South

The dollar and yen strengthened against the euro after the Tokyo Shimbun reported North Korea may be planning an attack on its southern neighbor.

The dollar rose to $1.3113 per euro as of 9:15 a.m. in Tokyo from $1.3139 yesterday in New York. The yen advanced to 110.31 per euro from 110.58.
