BNP Paribas Chief Wants Tighter Banking Supervision, FAZ Says

BNP Paribas SA Chief Executive Officer Baudouin Prot called for a “tighter and better coordinated” supervision of large banks, according to an interview in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

BNP Paribas will “clearly exceed” new minimum capital requirements set by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision without raising new capital, the newspaper cited Prot as saying.
