Serbian, Hungarian Grid Operators Agree Electricity Auctions
Serbia’s grid operator Elektromreza Srbija, or EMS, and its Hungarian counterpart, MAVIR ZRt. have agreed to organize daily, monthly and annual auctions for cross- border electricity trade, the Serbian company said today.
The two companies signed an agreement under which “long- term auctions for 100 percent of available cross-border capacity” will be organized by EMS, while allocation of daily capacity is to be organized by MAVIR ZRt., the EMS said on its website.
The first yearly auction has been scheduled for Dec. 6, it said and announced calendar of 2011 auctions.
