Serbia Corn, Wheat Crops to Climb in 2011, USDA Agency Says

Corn production in Serbia will rise to 6.8 million metric tons in the year starting Oct. 1, 2011, up from 6.4 million a year earlier, a unit of the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a report today. Exports of the grain will climb to 1.5 million tons from 1.34 million, the USDA said.

Wheat production will rise to 2.1 million tons in the year started July 1, 2011, up from 1.65 million harvested a year earlier, the agency said. Wheat exports will rise to 500,000 tons, up from 410,000 forecast this year.
