Global Cotton Output, Use to Rise in Year, Group Says

Global cotton production will rise to 27.3 million metric tons in the year ending July 31, 2012, from an estimated 25 million a year earlier, the International Cotton Advisory Committee said today in a report.
Consumption will climb to 25.3 million metric tons from 24.6 million a year earlier, the group said.
