German Machine Orders Rose 32% in October From Year Earlier

German plant and machinery orders rose 32 percent in October from a year earlier, the VDMA machine makers’ association said in a statement today.

Domestic orders gained 25 percent in the year when adjusted for inflation, while export orders increased 35 percent, Frankfurt-based VDMA said. In the three months through October, orders rose 34 percent from the year-earlier period.
