GDF Suez’s Mestrallet Sees French Gas Demand Up 35%, Echos Says

French gas demand is up 35 percent compared with year-ago levels because of current cold weather conditions across Europe, Les Echos said, citing an interview with GDF Suez SA Chief Executive Officer Gerard Mestrallet.
There are currently “no problems” with supply, despite the spike in demand, Mestrallet said in an interview to be broadcast tomorrow on France’s Radio Classique station, according to the newspaper.
