French Day-Ahead Power Jumps to Six-Week High on Cold Weather

French day-ahead electricity jumped to a six-week high as cold weather boosted demand.

Baseload power advanced as much as 22.50 euros, or 32 percent, to 92.50 euros a megawatt-hour as of 9:22 a.m. Paris time, according to broker prices compiled by Bloomberg. That’s the highest level since Oct. 20.
