Italy-Germany 10-Year Yield Spread Reaches 200 Points, Widest Since 1997

The extra yield investors demand to hold 10-year Italian bonds instead of benchmark German bunds widened to more than 200 basis points for the first time since 1997.

The yield premium reached 202 basis points as of 8:13 a.m. in London.
