French Stocks: Avenir Telecom, GDF Suez Shares Move in Paris

France’s CAC 40 Index declined 33.26, or 0.9 percent, to 3,727.16 as of 9:15 a.m. in Paris. The SBF 120 Index lost 0.8 percent.

The following stocks rose or fell in the French equity market. Company symbols are in parentheses.

Avenir Telecom (AVT FP) climbed 10 percent to 88 euro cents, its biggest rise since May. The French mobile telecommunications equipment supplier said first-half profit rose 34 percent to 3.18 million euros ($4.25 million) while sales fell 3.9 percent to 288 million euros.

GDF Suez (GSZ FP) declined 1.3 percent to 26.50 euros. The French energy and environment group’s Enersur unit will invest $200 million to build a 400-megawatt power plant in the Peruvian port of Ilo, the Peruvian government said.

LDLC.com (LDL FP) advanced 6.2 percent to 4.99 euros, its highest price since January 2008. The online computer hardware and software maker reported first-half net income of 150,000 euros, compared with a year-earlier loss.
