Avenir, Fimalac, GDF Suez, Prodware: French Equity Preview

The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in Paris. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.

France’s CAC 40 Index rose 12.81, or 0.3 percent, to 3,760.42 in Paris. The SBF 120 Index gained 0.4 percent.

Avenir Telecom (AVT FP): The French mobile telecommunications equipment supplier said first-half profit rose 34 percent to 3.18 million euros ($4.25 million) while sales fell 3.9 percent to 288 million euros. The shares fell 1.2 percent to 80 cents.

Fimalac (FIM FP): The Paris-based financial ratings and risk-management company reported a 36 percent increase in profit to 30 million euros in the 2010 fiscal year. The shares rose 0.4 percent to 33.45 euros.

GDF Suez (GSZ FP): The French energy and environment group’s Enersur unit will invest $200 million to build a 400- megawatt power plant in the Peruvian port of Ilo, the Peruvian government said. The shares fell 0.7 percent to 26.84 euros.

LDLC.com (LDL FP): The online computer hardware and software maker reported first-half net income of 150,000 euros, compared with a year-earlier loss. The stock was unchanged at 4.70 euros.

Prodware (ALPRO FP): The computer-services company announced the purchase of the innovation and design operations of Groupe Ares for an undisclosed price. Prodware fell 1.5 percent to 6.70 euros.
