Morpol, Nordjyske Bank and Telenor: Nordic Equity Preview

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Nordic trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close.

The Stoxx Nordic 30 Index, a measure for the region, rose 3.8, or less than 0.1 percent, to 7,024.21. Norway’s OBX Index slipped 0.2 percent to 374.42 and the OMX Copenhagen 20 Index gained 0.3 percent. The OMX Stockholm 30 Index climbed 0.4 percent and the Helsinki 25 Index dropped 0.2 percent.

Morpol ASA (MORPOL NO): The company plans to take advantage of the margin squeeze faced by European salmon processors and expand its capacity in the region, Finansavisen reported, citing Chief Financial Officer Steven Rafferty. Morpol slipped 0.1 krone, or 0.5 percent, to 21.9 kroner.

Nordjyske Bank A/S (NORDJB DC): The Danish bank will report third-quarter earnings on Nov. 22. The shares fell 3 kroner, or 2.8 percent, to 105 kroner.

Telenor ASA (TEL NO): The Nordic region’s largest telephone company said no wrong-doings were committed when it obtained a mobile-phone license for its Indian division Uninor, NTB reported, citing spokesman Glenn Mandelid. Telenor shares fell 1.1 kroner, or 1.2 percent, to 92.5 kroner.
