Vietnam’s Stocks: Cuchi Commercial, Sacombank Securities

Vietnam’s VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, declined 1 percent to close at 426.51. It lost 3.4 percent this week, retreating for a second week.

Sacombank Securities Joint-Stock Co. (SBS VN), Vietnam’s fourth-biggest brokerage, dropped for the first time in five days, losing 0.4 percent to 24,400 dong. The Ho Chi Minh City- based securities company sold 100,000 dong of one-year bonds on Nov. 15, it said in a statement on the exchange website.

Cuchi Commercial & Industrial Developing Investment Joint- Stock Co. (CCI VN), whose businesses include trading agricultural products, fuels, construction materials and properties, rose for a third day, gaining 0.5 percent to 19,900 dong. Net income rose 29 percent to 1.8 billion dong, according to a filing on the exchange’s Web site.
