Beni Stabili, Lottomatica, UniCredit: Italian Equity Preview

The following companies may be active in Italian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close.

Italy’s benchmark FTSE MIB Index rose 163.44, or 0.8 percent, to 20,993.27 in Milan.

Beni Stabili SpA (BNS IM): Charles Ruggieri, chairman of Beni Stabili and of its controlling shareholder Fonciere des Regions SA stepped down. The stock rose 2.5 percent to 70.7 cents.

CDC Point SpA (CDC IM): The computer maker estimated it will break even in 2010 and forecast profit of about 2.9 million euros in 2013. The shares climbed 0.5 percent to 1.8 euros.

K.R. Energy SpA (KRE IM): Nicolo von Wunster will replace Gaetano Tedeschi as chairman. The stock fell 1.2 percent, to 6.75 cents.

Lottomatica SpA (LTO IM): Italy’s biggest lottery company posted a net loss of 13.2 million euros ($18 million) in the third quarter, compared with profit a year earlier. The company approved the sale of a senior bond for as much as 500 million euros and a 60-year hybrid bond for as much as 300 million euros.

The Rome-based company also said that UniCredit SpA (UCG IM) agreed to invest 100 million euros, buying a 12.5 percent stake in its Scratch & Win business. Lottomatica rose 0.3 percent to 11.55 euros. UniCredit climbed 0.5 percent to 1.74 euros.

Monti Ascensori SpA (MSA IM): The elevator manufacturer reported a nine-month net loss of 3 million euros, compared with a profit a year earlier. The shares fell 3.9 percent to 92.3 cents.
