Socceroos Pick Newcomer Ognenovski Alongside Stars in Squad to Face Egypt
Australia picked defender Sasa Ognenovski for the first time in a 20-man squad for the Nov. 17 soccer exhibition against Egypt in Cairo.
Ognenovski received his first call up after captaining South Korea’s Seongnam Ilwha to the Asian Football Confederation Champions League final, where it will play Iran’s Zob Ahan on Nov. 13 in Tokyo.
Socceroos captain Lucas Neill returns after missing last month’s game against Paraguay because of injury.
