Japan May Permit Central Bank to Cut Asset Purchase Losses, Nikkei Says

Japan’s Ministry of Finance may permit the central bank to reduce contributions to the national treasury should it incur losses in its 5 trillion yen ($61.2 billion) asset purchase program, Nikkei English News said, without saying where it obtained the information.

Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda may “soon” make an official announcement, Nikkei said.
