TSMC's Chang Forecasts World Chip Market to Expand 5 Percent Next Year

The global semiconductor market will likely grow 5 percent next year, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Chairman Morris Chang said.

Chang expects the foundry industry to expand by 14 percent, he said at an investors’ conference in Taipei today.

His company’s sales will likely climb more than 14 percent in 2011, Chang said.
