Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. (601288 CH), the country’s largest lender to farmers, climbed 1.5 percent to 2.80 yuan, the most since Oct. 15. Third-quarter profit rose 30 percent from a year earlier to 24.3 billion yuan, exceeding the median estimate of five analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (601600 CH), the listed unit of nation’s biggest maker of the lightweight metal, rose the most this month, gaining 5.4 percent to 13.14 yuan. The company said it will form a venture with its parent and other investors that will invest in and reorganize five coal-mining companies in the Jiexu area of Shanxi province.
Beijing Electronic Zone Investment and Development Co. (600658 CH), which develops residential property, rose 10 percent to 10.69 yuan, the most since May 27. Third-quarter profit almost quadrupled from a year earlier.
Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. (601318 CH), China’s second- largest insurer, declined 0.8 percent to 60.81 yuan after it said profit fell 26 percent in the third quarter.
Xiamen Tungsten Co. (600549 CH), a maker of battery and tungsten products, climbed 10 percent to 55.70 yuan after third- quarter profit surged almost sevenfold from a year earlier.
