Lebanon's Inflation Rate Rises to 4% on Education, Food Costs Increase

Lebanon’s inflation rate rose to 4 percent in September from 3.4 percent the month before as education, clothing and food costs increased.
Prices rose 0.8 percent from the previous month, the Central Administration of Statistics said in an e-mailed statement today.
Clothing and footwear increased an annual 34 percent and food rose 5.4 percent, while water, electricity, gas and other fuels increased by 4.2 percent and education charges by 9.5 percent, the statistics office said.
