French Stocks: Alcatel-Lucent, CGGVeritas, Saint-Gobain Move
France’s CAC 40 Index rose 5.31, or 0.1 percent, to 3,768.49 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Paris. The SBF 120 Index also gained 0.2 percent to 2,809.93.
The following shares rose or fell in the French capital. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Alcatel-Lucent SA (ALU FP) increased 1.8 percent to 2.59 euros. The telecommunications-equipment maker has no plans to further restructure the company, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported, citing Chief Executive Officer Ben Verwaayen.
CGGVeritas (GA FP) slipped 2.4 percent to 16.39 euros, a third day of losses. The world’s largest seismic surveyor of oilfields was downgraded to “hold” from “buy” at Societe Generale SA.
Cie. de Saint-Gobain (SGO FP) gained 2 percent to 34.01 euros. The glassmaker expanded into the photovoltaic industry by setting up a joint venture with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.
