Intel Should Have Started Its Mobile Push Sooner, Otellini Says

Intel Corp., the world’s largest maker of computer chips, should have begun its push into semiconductors for mobile devices sooner, Chief Executive Officer Paul Otellini said at a conference.

“I wish we had started earlier,” Otellini said today during a Council on Foreign Relations conference in New York.

Smartphones that carry Intel chips will be released next year, Otellini said.
