China May Start Carbon Trading Trials in Some Regions, Xinhua Reports

China will encourage some regions to start trials on carbon trading and study the possibility of imposing carbon tariffs, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

The National Development and Reform Commission plans to establish a team to guide the trials, Xinhua said, citing Sun Cuihua, deputy chief of the climate change department at the national planner.
