N.Z. Fiber Group Talks With Vodafone on Rural Bid, Post Says

New Zealand’s Regional Fibre Group, a consortium of electricity distributors and other network operators, is in talks with Vodafone Group Plc to deliver broadband services to rural areas, the Dominion Post reported.

Vodafone New Zealand boss Russell Stanners meets members of the group today to discuss joining a bid to participate in the government’s NZ$300 million rural broadband plan, the newspaper said. The group will talk to other communications companies including Kordia and Woosh, it said.
