Mets Plan to Relieve Manager Minaya, GM Manuel of Roles, SI.com Reports

The New York Mets baseball team plans to say that general manager Omar Minaya and manager Jerry Manuel will be relieved of their roles, SI.com reported, citing unidentified people. The Mets will disclose the decision after the season, according to the report.

Minaya may stay with the organization, while the team will not renew an option on Manuel’s contract, SI.com said.
