Unga Group of Kenya Says Full-Year Net Income Jumps 28% On Better Margins

Unga Group Ltd., a Kenyan company with interests in grain milling and the manufacture of animal nutrition products, reported net income rose 27 percent amid improved margins.
Net income for the six months to June 30 rose to 236.17 million shillings ($2.93 million), or 1.82 shillings a share from, 185.19 million, or 1.55 shillings, the company said in a statement in the Nairobi-based Daily Nation newspaper.
Sales declined to 11.52 billion shillings from 11.64 billion shillings, the statement said.
