TSMC Buys NT$1.4 Billion Gear From Applied Materials, KLA-Tencor
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., the world’s largest custom manufacturer of chips, bought NT$1.4 billion of equipment from two vendors, the Hsinchu, Taiwan-based company said in two separate statements to the stock exchange today.
The company purchased NT$749 million of gear from Applied Materials South East Asia Pacific Ltd. and NT$662 million from KLA-Tencor Corp., the chipmaker said.
