UniCredit SpA may appoint a current
manager as its new chief executive officer and Roberto Nicastro
is the top candidate, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported, without
saying where it got the information.
Nicastro, one of four deputy CEOs, is also being considered
for the bank’s new general manager position, the newspaper
reported. Federico Ghizzoni, also a deputy CEO, has strong
backing from investors to become chief executive, Sole said.
