UniCredit to Hire CEO Internally, Nicastro May Be Top Candidate, Sole Says

UniCredit SpA may appoint a current manager as its new chief executive officer and Roberto Nicastro is the top candidate, daily Il Sole 24 Ore reported, without saying where it got the information.

Nicastro, one of four deputy CEOs, is also being considered for the bank’s new general manager position, the newspaper reported. Federico Ghizzoni, also a deputy CEO, has strong backing from investors to become chief executive, Sole said.
