Wong Says Achieving Budget Surplus Is the Biggest Priority, Review Says

Australian Finance Minister Penny Wong said that the government won’t negotiate on getting the budget back to surplus in 2012-2013, the Australian Financial Review said, citing the minister.

Wong and Treasurer Wayne Swan said returning the budget to surplus with a 2 percent spending cap is the government’s top priority, the newspaper reported.
