California May Have Deal to Close Budget Deficit, Schwarzenegger Aide Says

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and lawmakers may have reached a deal to close a $19 billion budget deficit, the governor’s spokesman said.

“It looks like we have a deal,” the spokesman, Aaron McLear, said outside the governor’s private office in Santa Monica.
