The National Football League is examining the actions of some New York Jets players and coaches toward a female television reporter at a pre-game workout, the New York Times said.
The Association of Women in Sports Media asked the league to look into the possible harassment of the reporter from TV Azteca in Mexico, the newspaper said. A coach purposely threw balls near the reporter and players made sexually suggestive comments in the locker room, the Times said.
Jets owner Woody Johnson spoke to the reporter, and the team and the league are investigating the players’ actions, the newspaper said.
