Google Falls to Third in China’s Mobile Search Market, SCMP Says

Google Inc. fell to third place in China’s mobile-Internet search market, behind leader Baidu Inc. and Easou.com in the second quarter, the South China Morning Post said, citing research company Analysys International.
Baidu’s market share rose to 34.3 percent from 29.1 the previous quarter as Google’s market share fell to 12.3 percent from 17.6 percent, the Hong Kong-based English-language newspaper reported today. Easou’s share was 16.9 percent, the Post said. The average daily number of searches on handsets increased 9.6 percent to 401.3 million, it said.
