August Economic Data Eases Concern of Chinese Slowdown, Deutsche's Ma Says

China’s economy continues to decelerate and at a “more modest” pace than market expectations, according to Jun Ma, chief economist for Greater China at Deutsche Bank AG.
Monthly economic data for August released Sept. 11 “can help marginally ease the concern on the potential of a sharp economic slowdown, but also suggest that the pressure for allowing deposit rate increases will intensify,” Ma said in a note to clients.
