Fulham striker Bobby Zamora may miss a minimum of four months after breaking his right leg in today’s 2-1 Premier League win over Wolverhampton.
Zamora suffered the break just above his ankle in a challenge from Karl Henry in the first half at Craven Cottage in London. He required oxygen on the field and was being taken off on a stretcher.
“He’ll have an operation tomorrow,” Fulham manager Mark Hughes said in an interview on Sky Sports. “The likelihood is he’ll be out a minimum of four months.”
Zamora has three goals in five matches this season. He signed a new four-year contract to 2014 yesterday.
