Ten Japanese Power Companies Buy Carbon Credits Covering 260 Million Tons

Tokyo Electric Power Co. and Japan’s other 9 regional energy utilities bought 260 million metric tons of carbon credits as of September, the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan said today in a statement. The companies used 116 million of carbon credits in the two years to March this year, the federation said.
