Olav Refvik, who led the crude and oil products group for Morgan Stanley, will join Noble Group Ltd. later this month as the global head of oil and oil products trading, SparkSpread said today on its website.
After leaving Morgan Stanley in 2008, Refvik co-founded Arrowhawk Capital Partners in Darien, Connecticut, a $500 million hedge fund, the energy news website said, citing unidentified people.
“Olav remains a strategic adviser, equity partner and board member of Arrowhawk,” said Kristin Mott, head of investor relations for Arrowhawk. Jennifer Fan will remain the senior portfolio manager of the commodities program, Mott said.
Mott declined to confirm whether Refvik has accepted a job with Noble. Refvik declined to comment immediately. Noble didn’t immediately return a phone call for comment.
